We headed towards the coastal town of Carnarvon. Here we followed the ‘fruit loop’ trail and stocked up on fresh fruit and veges direct from the farms. We also had a visit to the Space and Technology Museum which Rod found really interesting. From there we headed to Shark Bay, we were staying at Denham. On the way we called into Shell Beach which coincidentally was covered in tiny white shells!!

From there we continued on to Eagle Bluff lookout, then into Denham for the evening. The next day we headed out to Monkey Mia for the dolphin experience.

On to Peron Heritage Precinct where we wandered around the Shearers Shed and Quarters looking back into the past.

We visited Little Lagoon and then spent the afternoon at Denham Lookout which was lovely. I did some drawing and Roddy snoozed. This is an advantage of having our little home with us everywhere we go. We find a nice place to pull up, we can cook meals, snooze, have a shower after the beach, use our own bathroom, whatever we want whenever we want. So convenient!

We said goodbye to Shark Bay and headed to Kalbarri National Park. This was a standout for us. We went to Ross Graham lookout and did the river walk which was beautiful.

Other places in Kalbarri National Park that took our breath away were the Skywalk and the Z Bend.

The coastal side of Kalbarri National Park was equally stunning.

We took time to relax at “Blue Holes” beach. As well as hanging out at multiple coastal lookouts. Kalbarri town was a beautiful place to spend some time, we could have stayed longer, but there are other adventures to be had.

We travelled on to Geraldton, passing the Pink Lake and travelling through beautiful colourful countryside.

Now for a few days in Geraldton before heading out to the wildflowers.
