Mother Earth doesn’t disappoint, the Pilbura region completely blew us away with its vastness, its ever changing landscape and most of all its beautiful colours. Karinjini National Park seemed like the jewel of the Pilbura to us. We had great expectations for this whole area and the reality far exceeded our expectations. We stayed here for 4 nights free camping as well as a Roadhouse camp at Auski Roadhouse where we were able to catch up on laundry. The free camps we stayed in were amazing with the colours in the landscape changing as the days progressed from morning to night. The night sky delivered its own amazement as the stars were so bright in the darkest of skies.

We visited most of the gorges in Karinjini and did the Dales Gorge walk which tested our fitness, but was so worthwhile. I must have taken 100’s of photos each one will bring back memories of this amazing part of our country.

One of our favourite places on earth Karinjini. We absolutely loved it there. That red earth is stunning, although it does get into everything!
