Woke up to a cold morning, and the sound of birds and the Manning River gurgling in the background. We repoked the fire, put on a coffee, made some breakfast and waited for the sun to come up. We still seem to be on Sydney time, having early mornings and early nights. We are sleeping so well, the pod is cosy and warm, which is just as well as the nights and early mornings have been cold with the days warming up to about 23 degrees, perfect weather for bushwalking and inspecting the beautiful gorges around the Kimberly. Today we are heading off to the Manning Gorge which was about a 1 hour walk from our campsite. We needed to cross the river to begin the walk, luckily we had Brian’s Barge to get us across the river, or else it would have been a cold swim.
