Yesterday our travels took us through NSW, Vic and SA (3 states in one day). We had a picnic lunch on the banks of the Murray at Robinvale (Vic) then we travelled through Mildura and set up camp at Riverbend Caravan Park, Renmark, on the banks of the Murray – what a great spot.  It only took us 20 mins to set up camp tonight, although Rod says I took 45 mins to find a spot that was just right!

We walked into town over the Murray River and had an old fashioned meal in the pub – Paringa Hotel/Motel it was fantastic – thoroughly recommended, met some really nice people (not quite grey nomads, a bit like us). – who were taking a trip to Perth. We are planning out our day tomorrow and trying to wrangle a bit more time in the Barossa……I don’t know why, apparently its a good spot for wine!

My two favourite wineries are Crabtree and Kilikanoon. Both are boutique wineries producing very good wines. Crabtree’s Rieslings are great and they sell out fast. Get a few bottles if you have room!

Thanks Ed – we will keep a lookout for them – sounds good.
